L'espace - vocabulaire et projets d'écriture

My colleagues are working on a space unit with their kindergarten students.  You can find the post on our wiki here.

My students enjoyed the Toys in Space question; how would toys operate in zero gravity? Could you still play? How would the "game" have to be modified? There are a few different NASA videos using toys, my collection was slightly different (it was circa 2003!).

I have included further vocabulary support materials here.

  1. Hello ! Beautifull works !
I'm sorry but i have haphazardly saw your job in pinterest and i would like to revise french words..
In french, it's better to say '' DANS l'espace " in order "EN l'espace"
( For winter words: it's better - écharpe" than " foulard" "chaussette" than "bas"

    1. So neat seeing vocabulary differences in different regions! In NS, we would use "écharpe" for like, a scarf that you might wear with an outfit as an accessory, but "foulard" for a winter scarf to keep you warm. We say "chaussette" for socks that you would wear on a normal day, but "bas" for a big, thick, warm stocking (or the kind you hang up for Santa!). I would also say "dans l'espace", though :)

  3. We use spoken and written words every single day to communicate ideas, thoughts, and emotions to those around us. Sometimes we communicate successfully, and sometimes we’re not quite so successful. To be successful in proper communication of thoughts we need adequate words i.e. good vocabulary skill set.
